Stop Treating Your Body Like it's 1985
In my last email, I sent out a vegan vs meat eater YouTube video, where I talked about science a little.
There are so many debates regarding certain nutrition topics and science gets thrown around a lot.
Vegan vs meat eater
Calories in vs calories out for weight loss. (Is a calorie just a calorie?)
Fat? (Good, bad, or both?)
What I don’t like is when people use “science” as a blanket statement to win their point.
What I DO like about science is the experimenting part of it.
I think some people forget science is an experiment.
To test what works, test out a hypothesis and determine the best possible answer.
So whether you are a meat eater or a vegan or somewhere in between…
You gotta experiment with food, diet and how you feel when it comes to feeding your family.
Your body is different than mine.
Your DNA is different than mine.
Your sensitivities or allergies are different than mine.
Your culture and family dynamics are different than mine.
So do what works for you.
But where we can ALL be aligned when it comes to a healthy nutrition plan for your family is THE SOURCE.
What you eat or what you feed your kids, look at the source of the food your ingesting and definitely look at the ingredients, nutrients or anti-nutrients.
That will be a big determining factor in your health and your child’s development.
Where did the meat come from? What was it eating? How was it treated?
Where was the fish caught?
How was this vegan meat made? Was it processed?
How about this grain? Was it sprayed with folic acid, or does it naturally contain the vitamin B?
That’s what author Weston A. Price studied over two decades of research at scale with scoscities of people around the world in his book, Nutrition and Physical Degeneration.
It will be hard to get it perfect in these modern times. So be diligent.
Set the standard for your kids.
This ain’t 1985, we now know so much more our parents didn’t know.
In 1985, Doc even fueled the DeLorean with garbage to get back to the future.
Just think how much better your body’s flux capacitor will feel when you fuel it with the best possible organic source😊
And remember, kids don’t need junk food to be a kid.
Let’s redefine what “being a kid” means.
In your corner,
Greg
